Bishop's Blue Ribbon Task Force on Ministry Shares

During the 2008 Wyoming Annual Conference, the pastors and laity of the Wyoming Annual Conference meeting at the University of Scranton, affirmed a proposal by Bishop Susan Hassinger that she create a Blue Ribbon Task Force to look into the matter of stewardship in our annual conference. Concerns centered around finding a way to reverse the dwindling dollars received for Ministry Shares and what might be done to allow the conference to again remit its denominational apportionments at the 100% level. The task force conducted a series of listening session and prepared its report of the 2009 session. Since then, the group has been developing tools for use by local churches to help members better understand the need for faithfully contributing their fair share and of being in connection with United Methodists around the world.

On this page, you can find links to those tools and the original report of the task force.
