Days of Meaning - An Interfaith Experience
Earlier this year, the Shared Leadership Ministry Table worked with leaders of other Christian churches along with Muslim & Jewish leaders to provide a worship experience and an opportunity for people of these descendants of Abraham to learn about each other's religions. While there are differences, there is also much in common. Those who attended the gathering at a Johnson City mosque asked for more such experiences.
Planning is now underway for a second interfaith experience, this time, at Temple Israel in Vestal on December 6. The event begins with registration and a time to meet and greet at 1:30. The program runs from 2:00 to 5:00. The theme, Shabbat, Sunday, Jum'ah focuses on congregational days of prayer.
